Milan have been freshly attached to Dani Ceballos, who’s likely to leave Real Madrid in the summer. The Merengues will have to sell a few players after the blockbuster Kylian Mbappé deal to comply with the Financial Fair Play parameters, AS reports (via Fantacalcio).

The Spaniard has logged just 505 minutes through 21 appearances, scoring and assisting once. He has stayed put in the Spanish capital in the last three seasons after a loan spell at Arsenal. He began his career with Real Betis. The 27-year-old has 155 appearances, 7 goals, and 9 assists in La Liga under his belt.

Milan have tested the waters to sign Ceballos on loan with an option to buy, while Real Madrid prefer a permanent sale for €10M. The parties will be in touch in the coming weeks.

The two sides have done a lot of business together in the last few years. The Rossoneri acquired Theo Hernandez back in the day with great satisfaction. Los Blancos eventually brought back Diaz after multiple years in Serie A. Moreover, they have been negotiating for young fullback Alex Jimenez lately.

Our Take on Milan, Real Madrid, and Ceballos

Everything is preliminary, as their next coach and his scheme will influence their transfer market choices. They’ll have to modify their midfield as it hasn’t always worked properly. The traits of the potential newcomers will hinge on who they decided to part ways with. If they add outright, they should bring in a more muscular and dynamic player.
