Journalist: Chelsea player having harmonious exit and likely to live in London

One current Chelsea player is having a harmonious exit from the club and is likely to live in London once again when he retires, according to a report this week.

There was some big news that took over Chelsea’s social feeds yesterday morning that filtered through the day, and rightly so.

It was tributes to the footballing legend that is Thiago Silva, after the defender announced that he will be leaving the club after four years, when his contract runs out at the end of June.

Silva will be sorely missed at the club and not just on the pitch. His leadership and influence has been second to none over the course of time he played for the club.

Many will be wondering whether his exit from the club will be a bad one or whether he will be leaving on good terms. And thankfully, according to Nizaar Kinsella at The Evening Standard, Silva’s exit is ‘harmonious’,

The report says Silva’s exit has been harmonious behind the scenes. This is despite him being the only player to openly, and perhaps rightly, criticise the Boehly-Clearlake ownership group for leaving the club with a bloated 42-man squad when finishing 12th.

And yesterday we heard that Silva is also planning to return to Chelsea after he has retired from playing to take on some sort of coaching role at the club, which is great news for Blues fans. It means the legend will be back. And apparently, he is planning to live back in London again when he retires from playing.

The same report goes on to say that Silva has enjoyed his time at Chelsea so much that he will likely make west London his family home when he retires.

I personally think he will make an excellent coach one day very soon.
