Former Alabama player visits AFC West team in hopes to sign a 1-year deal

An incredible story of the Nick Saban era at Alabama hopes to continue his career in the National Football League.

Levi Wallace, a former Crimson Tide cornerback, came to the University of Alabama as a walk-on in 2014, but he became a two-time College Football Playoff National Champion. He was not selected in the 2018 NFL Draft; however, he signed to the Buffalo Bills and played four years (2018-21) there. Wallace spent the last two seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, yet the 28-year-old is on the move again. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that he is visiting the Denver Broncos and expects to sign a one-year contract if everything goes well. He’s been a part of the AFC East and AFC North, but Denver puts Wallace in the AFC West.

Wallace has collected 305 career tackles, 54 pass breakups, and 12 interceptions. He had a team-high 15 pass breakups in Alabama’s 2017 CFP National Championship season. Wallace also recorded three picks that year, including one for a touchdown.
