Not since "The Sopranos" ended, has a black screen created such a stir.
Your TV isn’t broken.

For the next few days, the Earth and Disney satellite are in direct line with the sun — causing a “sun outage” and brief interruptions on ESPN:

During a consequential moment early in the Red River Rivalry between Associated Press No. 12 Oklahoma (5-0) and No. 3 Texas (5-0), the television feed was interrupted just as wide receiver Jordan Whittington was nearing the first-down marker on a fake field-goal attempt.
By the time the signal returned, Whittington was in Oklahoma territory. With this being one of the biggest games in recent Red River Rivalry history, the glitch couldn't have come at a worse time.
But as Front Office Sports notes, the issue isn't anyone's TV, instead a result of a bi-yearly occurrence where the sun is aligned with Disney satellites.
So, don't throw out your TVs if you're watching college football this weekend. Unless, of course, you're watching LSU's defense. Then, chuck that thing out the window.
