All other teams are greater than 100-1. Odds as of April 8 and via DraftKings.
Hours before the start of the national championship game between Purdue and UConn on Monday night, odds for the 2025 NCAA Tournament have been released by DraftKings.
At the top of the leaderboard is Duke with their No. 1 ranked recruiting class by far, featuring No. 1 prospect Cooper Flagg out of Maine. Joining Flagg are three other 5-star recruits. That's not to mention a slew of serviceable returning players to go along with a potential transfer or two to round out the squad. It stands to reason that this team has enough to compete against a UConn team rife with incumbents.
But a few key stars from this UConn team are assuredly moving on to greener pastures. Freshman combo guard Stephen Castle is a surefire top-5 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. Sophomore center Donovan Clingan will be a lottery pick — if not, a surefire top 10 selection. Sophomore winger Alex Karaban will be drafted somewhere, too.
The key for the Huskies in 2025 will be to develop the underclassmen already in the program — while reinforcing the squad with a transfer or two.
Meanwhile, the other top teams include UNC and Kansas, which have similar pedigree in the pipelines.
Kentucky's odds at +2000 stayed roughly the same even with head coach John Calipari's abrupt exit from the program on the eve of the national championship game.
